Chris Pirillo Explains it All: Windows Vista

At last, someone (Chris Pirillo) explains the difference between Vista Premium edition and Vista Ultimate edition cause I just wasn’t understanding those differences until I saw this video.

    P.S.

I have Vista Basic edition. Does that mean my version sucks harder than Premium and Ultimate? Mmmm…probably.

I know Microsoft Certified Parteners that wouldn’t sell vista basic if MS didn’t force them to.

Somehow, I’m not surprised. Vista Basic is horrible. And with a name like “Basic” in the title, that tells you that it’s just not good enough. But apparently Ultimate and Premium aren’t either.

There are days when I feel like installing XP on my laptop; however, I just don’t feel like taking several hours of my day to install all of my programs and reconfiguring my PC just the way I want it. Perhaps if Vista keeps pissing me off enough with blue screens of death and sluggishness, I may have to make a weekend project out of installing XP.

Update: One thing I forget to say. Vista wasn’t that bad at first…until I started having driver issues (Nvidia problems despite updating my drivers), blue screens of death on par with what I had with Windows 98, and just plain sluggishness because Vista’s code is obviously bloated. My PC runs so slow starting up and shutting down that it drives me up the wall. That’s why I don’t reboot my PC until I absolutely, positively have to. Of course, with Vista, that’s just about every day that I have to reboot once my nightly tasks kick off and run on my machine.
