Soul Bounce Launches Public Beta

Looking for an alternative to the often boring and crappy mainstream music being thrust on you by the likes of MTV, BET, and VH1? Yeah, me, too. I offer you Soul Bounce, which just soft launched its public beta and provides articles and coverage of “below the radar” R&B/Hip-Hop artists who are not Beyonce, 50 Cent (Psst…buy Kanye West’s album), and Justin Timberlake. While there are some more well known mainstream artists featured on Soul Bounce, the site’s focus will be on covering known artists who aren’t pushed heavily by their marketing departments, independent artists, and even some “old school” acts who still have it but MTV/BET/VH1 forgets they exist.
I’ve browsed around the beta, and for now, the site is an assorted mix of videos, links to other music sites offering mix tapes and unreleased tracks, and music headlines/articles. Once the site moves out of beta and launches fully (expected in 2008), then I’m sure we’ll see more from Soul Bounce. The site, after all, is the brain child of nOvaslim.
