Is the Blogosphere This Bad?
I’m no Fox News watcher, so naturally, I had no idea this was going on in terms of their attacks against the blogosphere. Yes, I’m aware that many people think that the blogosphere is toxic, but it can’t be all that bad the way Fox News is making it out to be.
Notice this video only highlights some of the more controversial blogs…according to Fox News. It’s just another way for old media to attack new media by painting all blogs with the same brush. This is also another sign of just how fearful they are of independent journalism and the shackle-free flow of information (good and bad) on the Internet.

i’m gonna go ahead and state the obvious:
1. bloggers exist across all party lines, plain and simple. everyone has a right to post.
2. it might seem that the liberal bloggers are more vicious because up until, we’ve never really had a voice. the middle class, the common man, the one that cannot buy corporations and news organizations, haven’t had an outlet. we’re very mistrustful of big media because it doesn’t speak for everyone, it speaks according to its own interests and, in many cases, funding.
3. it might seem as though there are more liberals in the digital world because liberals are characterized as being progressive, whereas the conservatives are usually older, and late to the party.
